No ignition or fp power

I have no spark and no power going to fuel pump.
I have power to both fuse boxes. FP fuse under hood has power but fp/security fuse inside cable does not. I've reset security system.

Lots of changes from 1983 to 2011 in the spark and fuel systems

Assuming 4.0l engine, which narrows it down to 1990-2011 so 21 years, lol

In 1997 when you turn the key ON the ignition switch will send 12volts(from fuse 25 in cab fuse box) to the PCM Relay in engine fuse box
Fuse 25 also powers the spark coil pack

The PCM relay should then close(you can usually hear it "click" closed) and sends 12volts from PCM fuse 13(engine fuse box) to the PCM(computer), PCM will boot up and the CEL(check engine light) should come on
CEL must come on with key on or there is no computer power so no spark and no fuel pump

When you activate the starter motor the CEL should go OFF, while engine is cranking, that means the PCM is seeing a timing pulse from the Crank Sensor, no timing pulse means no spark and no fuel injectors
So CEL must go OFF when cranking or no start


In 1997 fuse 3(20amp) in the engine fuse box should have 12volts all the time, direct connection to battery
This is the anti-theft/fuel system fuse so this might be your problem
It could be the under side of fuse box has some corrosion

In 1996 this was fuse 12
In 1998 it was fuse 9
So Ford changed it around a bit by year, lol
If you have an early or late build 1997 it could go either way
