live data at start up calc load% 68.6.You said it should be around 20-30%.What could be causing this?I'm new to this live data stuff any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be many things, fault sensor most likely. Map or tps would be my guess.

Faulty or dirty sensors

Is there any way to check the map and tps sensor? My scanner shows tps readings on live data. When I apply throttle the reading goes up gradually(no jumping around)and down gradually on deceleration,so I figure it isn't the tps. where is the map sensor located?I'm not getting any codes on my code scanner either.

Load PID is calculated almost completely off the MAF sensor. Try cleaning it.

On both my 88s the MAP was on the firewall connected to a triangular metal projection...passenger side just left of centre...

MAF sensor is either on the Throttle body inlet or the air box...usually.

Do you have a digital multi meter?

Check the wires going to and from the maf and tps those wire could be fraid or melted so go thru and make sure thats not the case b4 anything

Adsm08 I sprayed the maf about 20 times,so it should be clean.I get a reading of .32 on my code reader's live data at idle and cold.

NIPs wires all look good on both even plugs look good.I did disconnect the plugs and spray them with electronic contact cleaner.Plugged them back in and disconnected them about 3-4 times each then put dielectric grease on them.

Use the multi meter to check the voltages and hertz( maf or map) and find the specs online. A quick google search should get you the numbers you need.

.32 at idle for volts is to lows
