NIPs what could be causing this?

NIPs what should the voltage be?I even took the snorkel off the air filter canister and took the insides out of the intake muffler to get better airflow.MAF bad you think?

You do not want to check voltage, the maf output signal to the ecu is in hertz. You need to set your multimeter to hertz and measure the frequency.

Disconnect the maf plug from the snorkel, using paper clips straighten them out 1 at a time check each wire One at a time set meter to DC volts, find a good ground frame or body, probe a paper clip in each port Do not force it, then have some1 else turn the key to the on position, in the on position u should see 5.01 or 5.03 volts around there, 12 volts which is battery and about 0 on the ground side, I know Urs is an 88 so ID how much they differ, but I know on the 96 to 2000 engines the maf, tps, fuel injectorS, iac, and shift solenoid for the transmission all use the same 12volt power wire
