Newbie Here To Car Audio

:annoyed:

to amp them you need a HU first, you can tap into the OEM system, but that's getto, and do all 4 speakers. if there good enuff to mix and match there good enuff to leave alone for now.

Well they do have those systems where it hooks up to your stock stereo and provides the plugs for amps and speakers. Not sure if thats the getto thing your talkin about...? I try and find it.

Edit: Here http://www.crutchfield.com/g_318850/Factory-Sound-Processors.html?tp=6870 these are supposed to attach to your factory system and improve the sound while allowing the installation of amps and subs and whatnot.

well yes but you can do it without a new headunit and he was talking inexpensive. rear speakers are a matter of personal opinion, some people will say you dont even need them as ideally you want to set up a sound stage from the front. but it is all a matter of opinion, i was just giving a suggestion that i feel from what i've learned would give him the biggest improvement for his money.

lol actually that's the right way to do it, some apms let you cut your speaker wires and split it. and thats getto. thoes actually will drop to a 10:1 rca ratio for amps with out even interfering with the speaker operation.:icon_thumby:

they use them for system with like factory nav, and what not.
