New member here.
Just got a Bronco II drag truck and am searching for info. (rear axle mostly)
Hoping to win some bracket races with it this year.
It has a carbed 302 and C-4.

Howdy and welcome to TRS. Looks like it's been done pretty well so far.

Thanks.

I am looking forward to racing it in March.

The little truck was nicely built. Paint looks good.
It has a thin aluminum bed so it won't be able to haul anything.

It has a few details that I think I can easily fix.
I just have to find out what year Ranger rear end it has because it uses offset 15 x 8 wheels with 5.5 back spacing to fit those 26 x 9 slicks.
I think it might have a 1993 and later 7.5 rear.

Right now it has a 4.10 Lincoln Locker in it.
Also has a custom front suspension with a Pinto R&P.
I have no idea if the Bronco was a former 4wd or 2wd.

Here is a video of the previous owner driving it:

Wait. So it's 4wd now? OH, NVM R&P means rack and pinion.

Anyway, I wonder if it's spent much time at Beech Bend?

Welcome to TRS. Heh heh that a snotty lookin little brat truck and looks like that bed hauls to me... hauls a$$. :icon_thumby:

I bought a 1998 Ranger 2.5 5-speed with 385.000 miles on the dial, and the truck doesn't look it or feel like that many miles. I love this little truck, I wan't to see how far it will go! With me it will have a easy life, but I plan on replacing the ignition & fuel system to try to get better performance & mileage out of it.

Been awhile since I have been on this board.

I am not sure if the previous owner took the B2 to Beech Bend or not. I plan to take it there after I get the Explorer rear end under it.

I did upgrade to 27 inch tall DOT tires and mufflers on the B2 so I can run the trophy class at BB.

Last Sat. night I sheared some teeth off the ring gear in that 7.5 rear end. Bummer.
But it allows me to upgrade to the Explorer 8.8 so if I want to hit it harder off the line sometime in the future, it should be plenty stout.
