just ordered them from autoanything, 35 bucks. we'll see how much better they work. ill get some pictures up in a couple days and let you know how they are on and off road..

can't wait to see... too bad it's not a gen 1 for direct example to me :(

make sure to do before and after at the same spot to notice the enhanced brightness

im interested to see the difference. i was about to get some xenons when upgrading my lights but opted for the philips xtreme power for their far distance and white light.

I really don't like bursting people's bubbles but, they really aren't better than the stock halogens.
From what I've seen Sylvania Silver Stars seem to be the best, though far from HIDs.
One of the best improvements to lighting though is in the housings. Clear lenses make a world of a difference.

Redneck is correct...
For those that want a comparison....
Left is Silverstars
Right is 8000K HIDs

haha, you set yourself up for this question redneck. my left, or the truck's left? lol

Does anyone make a 9007 to 9005/9006 conversion kit (combined to split low/high beam bulbs)? If so, you could go this route:

I use them on my Accord and it is definitely brighter than anything else you can buy, save an HID setup.

yeah you wont beat HID. the projector housings are what stops me from gettting them though. thats why i went from sylvania to philips and they are brighter but still not as bright has HID.

For $35 bucks, I strongly suspect he's speaking of incandescent xenon bulbs, not HID bulbs. These are fine in the stock housings.

Some years back I tried a set of them once. They were slightly whiter and brighter than the original halogen bulbs, but they also only lasted about 1/3rd as long.

I've had really good luck with the Silverstar Ultra's in both my ranger and sport trac.

yeah well im most likely gonna have to replace my housings because they are foggy. i sanded and waxed and everything with the kit from napa, helped a little but not good enough. anyways the bulbs havent came yet. hoping for tomorrow. the latest of friday

heres one pic, sorry i couldnt get others but can tomorrow, left is original halogen and right is Xenon. if you look above the xenon it goes a little higher than the halogen. when i took it on the road it was much better side to side vision and a little better for distance. id say it was worth it.
