NICE!!

I remember the first toy tractor that my mother bought for me when I was like 3 was a Allis WD-45.

I have always loved the AC equipment!

A friend has a couple of G's and a C.

Are you going to do a resto on it, or use it, or?

My neighbor has an old Allis Chalmers tractor, he drives by the house every couple of days with it.

I had a Model B toy, too! Loved that thing.

I think the Bs are pretty much Cs with wider fronts, so you probably will be impressed with how well the tractors are built. I use mine A LOT, and love every minute of it. There's something special about driving a tractor that's as old as my grandparents.

We had a '46' Model B for working around our small horse collection. Came in great for moving snow (Bucket) in the Winter, cleaning out the horse loafing shed every Spring, pulling fence lines, mowing the pasture. Helped a friend pull his motor with the bucket and a chain. I think it was only 20HP but torque up the butt.

That is 20hp at the PTO (or belt pulley), it would have been a fair amount more if it was measured without all the drag from transmitting power from the very front of the tractor to the rear, and running the hydraulic pump. They in no way compare to a 20hp garden tractor which is measured at the flywheel like a car.

i've got a ford 601 workmaster and so dose my buddy. workin of a resto together. its fun. different from a car resto.

Sweet, so is it goin to be a work tractor or a full resto project? We will definitely need pics. I used to have a '64 Ford industrial 2000, unfortunately had to sell it cause I had no time to fix it up.

It will get the full resto project. And heres the pics as i promised. I also i the rear tires. I took them off to get them fixed by dad. it is also converted to 12volt

I have 3 Graveleys... a '49,'54,and a '60.

Only the 49 runs, the rest are for parts. There is just something about using good old American Iron to work with that makes me feel good. I have many of the attachements too...Oh, and My boss at the farm has a Late 50's Gravely with axle extensions...that is a neat unit. I had the '49 out twonights ago bush hogging with it. It's amazing what 5 HP and TONS of torque can do.

I also have primitive engines up the wazzoo...I just picked up a running Fairbanks Morse ZC here at the last show in Coolspring.

I have a F-M ZC, ZD, 4hp Novo S (800 Lbs for 4 hp!!!), Novo AG, McCormick Deering M, Delaval Alpha, TONS of Briggs engines, a Associated Washing machine engine (1 complete and about 6 parts engines), and a bunch of other cool stuff. This is why I turn a wrench...The truck's role is to get me to the shows.

The one tractor i always wanted to get is a John Deere D...late styled...hand start...PTO......ever since I was a kid. There is just something about those old kero burners I like. Oh, and I want my Uncle's IH 424..It was the first tractor I ever saw...Still running strong, parts are gettting $$ though.

Dad has a J-D Mt that he uses for everything. He even built a 3-point hitch for it. Love that tractor thats were i learner how to drive a manual.
