New tools you've bought recently?

Is M.2 the version number? I understood everything else.

I believe m2 is a newer type of ram memory.
M2 is a type of connection for an SSD type hard drive. an M2 drive looks very similar to RAM, but it is an actual SSD, takes up very little space in the computer. read/ write times are blazingly fast if you get the right type, way faster than a normal SATA SSD.

That picture I posted is an M2 ssd hard drive.

We just got a new Freightliner M2 box truck in at work the other day.

Just for reference, M.2 can still be SATA. It's not very common now though.

That’s probably too big for his needs
But you can fit a lot in the back of it!! At least 1 Ram. (Maybe not a crew cab long bed, but definitely a reg cab short bed.)

A new tool for overlanding. I have wanted something bigger than my phone for navigation. So, I upgraded my phone, which was getting old and also got a tablet. Now I need to get it mounted in the truck and put the navigation apps on it.

I have to get Gaia installed on mine and get familiar with it since it seems that's the one Jim prefers. I have OnX Offroad and gambled that would be the one that would be used by getting a years subscription on it.

There are plusses and minuses to both. So, I just guessed.

Pulled the trigger on this unit today. Should arrive in a few weeks along with 2x 1ton high jack stand

Nice!

Once I get the drainage around the garage fixed I’m gonna pull the trigger on one.

I’m considering buying a used lift off Craigslist. Hoping to get a rotary or Mohawk for cheap.

I’m also considering pouring a pad outside next to the garage for more overhead space.

My rafters are just under 10’, but I could line the posts up between a set of rafters. Still wouldn’t be able to stand under a car, but wouldn’t be too bad.

I want one with the overhead bar so I can roll a creeper or a stool around under it.

Had to have the 168 model, I am 6'2", own nothing but trucks, including fullsize bronco on 40s. I've heard working on vehicles on lift is completely different, I've used a lift very little. I am so excited tho. Shop is tall enough, built with tall lift in mind
