First off I want to thank all contributors to this forum I have been lurking for awhile getting information when I need it. I am in a bind. I was doing a buddy a favor working on his 1988 Ranger 4x4 with the auto locking hubs, replacing a front hub. I was unaware of the wedge under the spindle nut and I cracked the spindle nut by going full bore with a break over bar. Probably a common mistake by newbs. Thats what has prompted me to finally sign up. I am in search of a new spindle nut for the AUTOlocking hubs. Non of the local salvage yards have them for the d28 and ford does not make them anymore nor do they have any to sell me. I have exhausted all options locally so I am going to post a want ad in the wanted section. Thank you again for a great online resource for ford rangers! By the way my dream ranger would be a 1995-97 extended cab 4x4 with the v6 auto w/ a skyjaker long arm lift

Welcome, I hope you get a Ranger soon. There are good ones out there. It took me awhile to find the type or Ranger I wanted.

Thanks, for the welcome. I have come across a few rangers but the timing just has not been right. I also own 4 jeeps so they keep me busy....mechanically/financially.
