New to the Ranger World

Was it thinner on one side? I have a couple shims for pinion angle that fit that description. They were recommended by the extended shackle packaging.

No, it’s even across the 4-5” length. Not a pinion angle shim. Possibly what was mentioned before, at home remedy for leafs sagging on the drivers side.

The 4” lift is finally on. Now to replace the rear brake lines, cut the fenders, and get to work on the interior cleanup.

Well then...that's pretty cool. Well done.

Question for the group, I’ve been test running the truck on the property. When I hit sudden big dips in the woods the truck will shut off. It will start right back up but it will do it consistently if I hit the dips the same way every time. If I slow roll through, it’s fine.

Do people that off road these trucks usually disconnect/bypass the inertia switch? Would that even be a possible cause? Has anyone else had similar issues like this?

I have had inertia switches trip on a couple vehicles.
it's always a nasty sharp hard hit.
the one exception was slamming the passenger door at 5 below zero.

you didn't mention resetting the inertia switch. once tripped they need the button pushed to reset them.

Okay, yeah there was no reset. Just a cut out and then I crank it over and fires back up without issue.

Sounds to me like you got something lose or shorting out in some way.

But then again I'm just a novice around here.

I was thinking about that, I’m going to check out the wiring and such underneath this weekend and see if anything to do with ignition, main grounds, etc might be loose. I know she does it when the passenger side drops into dips unexpectedly. Hopefully that’s all it is. She’s been running moderately well so far.

The vacuum system was all jacked up. The fuel pressure regulator was pissing fuel out of the vacuum port on the back and that line was hooked to the fuel vapor line so it would just go back into the tank 🤣… I’ve gone through this truck little by little trying to bring all the lines, connections, and wiring back to factory standards. It’s slow moving but getting there.

Does it still have the dual fuel pump setup? I've had mine do that when I splashed water on the electrical for the high pressure pump.

I have no clue tbh, haven’t had to dive that deep into the fuel system yet.. looking at Advance Auto though for the truck it only shows a single fuel pump/level assembly as an option.
