I'm just outside of Bowdon; That's a little town west of Atlanta close to Alabama.

thats a pretty good drive robbie,i used to do it when i did a 3 year assignment at u of west ga.you got the sun in your eyes both ways.

Yep, skippy; it's 99 miles each day, there and back. That's why I'm racking up the miles on the '94. You're right about the sun, too; I'd almost be better off working in Birmingham.

macdaddy31516, how you like it down in Blackshear? I ain't been down in that neck of the woods in like, about 25 years. Nice country down there.

it sure has changed a lot. its like everyone is buying up farmland and building homes here.seems like they have found how peaceful it is in the counrty. cleared farmland here is going for around $15,000 an acre, i know its not as much here as it is in someplaces.took the wife to brunswick today to see the doctor and was going throught some realestate magazines and 1 acre of land was going for 1,000,000 dollars. yep, you heard me correctly.

Good Grief! That's getting on up there, for land. But that is really beautiful country down there, and good farmland, to boot. Believe me, I hear you about the country life being a peaceful one. I started out in Atlanta, as a kid, and now I've moved over the years about as far west of it as one can, and still be a Georgian. We're in the middle of about 40 acres of woods, and it would plain and simple kill both of us to move back to the city now.
