I got no replies on a free seat cover to use as a template - soooooo - I tore apart my old one and used it as a template - I was a little worried but I finished the drivers seat today.

This just means I have to finish the rest of the interior to match. I am no seamstress and do not claim this to be the best ever, but it is decent for my first EVER sewing project.

Yeah - got a refurbished M5OD in Memphis, but let's not discuss that in detail - very bad story regarding the shop that did the work -bu trans is fine.

Thanks

Sorry - I had to . . . ROFL

Looks great except the pink(not my color lol) how did you the "ranger"?

I was thinking of getting some cheap seat covers to put on my seats, but i was wanting to try glueing some shaped foam onto the exsisting foam and sculpting it to be more sporty/bolstered. Then sewing the seat cover down so it dosen't move around when getting in and out. Would this work?

Thanks but it is not pink - the pic did not capture the actual red of the seat. Believe me it is not pink LOL.

As far as adding additional foam and gluing - no idea. I added sections of foam to the seat portion, but I was unable to get the pleats to tuck and shape to the foam - I am a newby at this upholstery stuff.

The Ranger Logo is a design of my own that I sent to an embroidery program that converted it into a file that our sewing/embroidery machine was able to stitch into a piece of vinyl that I cut and sewed into the seat.

Is this a seat cover or replacement seat fabric?

Replacement seat fabric - my first time sewing so it is loose and looks like a cover. My next one will be tighter.

I've been curious on how to go about doing this...
Did you sew fabric to the existing seat fabric ?

ah looks kinda pink to me haha, damn i guess i may as well try bolstering my seats not like i can ruin them that much...right?

Pleats are?

No - I took off my original seat fabric, took it apart and used the pieces as templates for the new fabric with some changes made during the layout. But the new fabric could be sewn to the old, just need a strong machine to do it.
