That would be an erroneous, fallacious, and specious myth spread by younger men trying to get "chicks" that dig us older men

Well yes, if Ralph Waite said it then he would have wanted it to be taken as true, but he was most likely saying it to let down a girl friend easier, an "its not you, its me" thing
Better than "look you just don't do it for me any more"

He is a kind and truthful man, so really the best way out, and to say it on National TV................had to be for the above reason or why say it at all?
