new(old)boat

kicker001.jpg
well,i found a kicker for it.....needs a little paint and polish,but it runs.it's a '78 20 horse,nice match to the 115.traded it for an 80's mariner 15hp-we both came out happy.:yahoo:

finished rebuilding it,redecalled it to wear the '74 colors, now it runs and looks like new.just gotta do the same with the big motor now.

thanks...looking at the pic i see i really need to clean up the shed.too many jobs overlapping.

the back (left in bottom photo) looks like black and white photo, lol

yup...shades of grey, story of my life.just noticed i can count 4 outboards in that pic.and 3 are mercs.

What is the little one over by the oxygen bottle

that's a '77 merc 4.5hp....motor runs, but the leg is seized...might have a line on another one.always fun hunting parts for these old things.

My car salesman father used to say " man's happy twice when he has a boat . the day he buys it and the day he sells it". needless to say I never took him out on mine.

i was happy the day i bought it....i'm happy every time i use it.i'm even happy working on it.i don't tend to sell much,so i don't know if i'll be happy then.last one i sold didn't make me too happy, though it did pay for this one.

More pis! Looks good!

i'll have it mounted on the boat tomorrow, after the paint has had a chance to dry...i'll take a pic then.problem is,it will really show how much the big motor needs some lovin.

mounted, hooked up,and ready to use.and i was right...the big motor looks pretty sad now.that one will be a winter project, though.

i bet!speaking of scary, the 'other' boat that i won't have time to finish this summer is a 15' fiberglass runabout with a 351w for power, through an omc leg.will be running edelbrock goodies on it,and 10/1 pistons, should be good for at least 300 horse.:headbang:

So when am I meeting you in Skagway with some burgers and a jerry can of fuel:D

Man I need to pick up a little boat, I really like how you re-decalled the kicker to match the main.
