new member just got a b4000

new to the ranger/b scene. got a few snags. im gn start wit the t-case. i just bought a 94 b4000. the guy i got it from told me it needed a new t-case switch. i got one from my friends parts explorer and hooked it up. the 4x4 stays on anyways. i have to disconect the t-case plug so it shifts out 4x4. what could be happening? bad switch bad shifter motor?

and i was wondering if it would be hard to put a manual shifter for the t-case?

To get a manual shifter you'd have to swap in a manual t-case

not quite. There is a conversion kit that a guy machines. It's on rangerforums. look it up on google.
