So my 1993 4x4 2.3l broke a leaf. I have a set out of a 4x2 2.3l. The packs both have three leafs. Any way to make sure these will fit? I don't know what the spring code is that the leafs came out of. My code is KB. I found a number on the replacement leaf. It's F37A-BB. I can't seem to find anything with that number. So long story short. Does anyone know of these will fit??

I believe that they should swap right over if both axles are teh same size. (ie both 7.5s) and since they both came out of 2.3L trucks, they should be both from a 7.5 rear end unless the donor truck had an 8.8 swapped in.

Wouldn't the 4x4 leaf packs have more arch(for more lift)? If so, you may need to find another 4x4 leaf pack.

Ranger leaf packs should all be the same. The only real difference is the number of leafs/carrying capacity.

Every time I've changed out leafs in a truck, I always break the pack apart, replace the teflon pads on the ends of the springs and put a new centering pin in. Usually I end up adding leafs too, but that's beside the point. I usually grease the pads and where the leafs rub too when I put the packs together. So far that's worked well to eliminate spring squeaks.

The only difference ive noticed is the eye on the main leaf that mounts to the shackle is larger (larger bolt diameter than pre 1998) in 1998 when they went with a different designed front shackle. Otherwise they all swap with one another no issues.

Are the leafs out of the same bed type? They should work, Bro!! I know a few people who swapped out 4x4 leafs for 2wd leafs and they worked.

I believe the difference between the 2wd and 4wd was the factory 2" rear block.

They should swap in. If they are too soft or you need more lift, cut the eyes off the old springs and build your own spring back. All you need is a center bolt kit which should be available at a local auto parts store.

I see you're in Maine. It would be a good time to put new spring eye bushings in and check your shackles and springs hangars for rust and rot. And make sure you use new U-bolts. The old ones are likely stretched from years of tension.
