New here, old to Rangers

Hello, I'm new to this but i've had many different Rangers, BII's and F series since 1993. I have a small business doing farm repairs, building jacking and moving, stone walls, new barn construction and old barn fixing, tree work, snowplowing and other skilled labor work. I'm a marine mechanic by trade with 4 years Coast Guard experience too but good luck finding work in that field right now. Anyhow, I am active in gem mining and gold panning here in Maine and I enjoy finding old townships and other such places to go wheeling. I just bought a 1994 Mazda B3000 4x4 last night to replace my current F-150 on 36's because I broke the frame. My current trouble is the R1tranny in the Mazda grinds but does not move in any gear but 4th. I have a 2wd R1 tranny from a 4cyl and i'm trying to figure out if it can be made to fit behind my 3.0 v6. If anyone is gonna know they'll be on here....

Without finding someone who has done it and knows, I'd first look to see if they have removable bellhousings and tailshafts. That would be a good indicator that it likely may work.
