It looks aftermarket, but likely a dealer installed peice. When you can get at it good, see if you can find, and jot down, the FCC ID number.

The fact that the scanner thinks the new one is a 4 cylinder is definitely concerning.

My scanner kept saying my 2.9 was a 4 cylinder untill i swapped the ECM.
