So I've got a 97 ranger, with the quarter-twist install on the master cyl, and I"ve got the line routed properly, the reservoir in place, the grommet popped in, and the master cylinder housing in situ, but it just WILL NOT TURN that little quarter-turn to lock down.

Any tips/tricks?

Unbolt the MC from the fire wall. It is easier to bleed the system with it loose anyway. Put some brake fluid on the connection as lube. Have at it using both hands. :D

I'm going to leave this here for others who may need the trick: a 15/16 open-end wrench will fit over the engine bay end, if you angle it towards the engine and down.

Then have a second person pull it flush to the bracket while you rotate it with the wrench.
