Hello all,
Im looking high and low for the following information.
I want to leave the stock radio deck, the 4 inch sync 3, in the truck but want to add an amp and some sub woofers but I cannot get any information on how to do this.
Specifically the adapter to get line outs and how to disable the factory amp, if there is one, and where and how to install a larger amp without replacing any of the stock wiring.
I would love some help because I have been searching for over a month now for this info. I can install anything on my own and feel I can do it cheaper then the $1600 the stereo installers are wanting to charge me.
If you can help that would be awesome.
Thanks

The truck is so new, I’m not sure what help we can give.

Have you looked at the accessories Ford has available via collaboration with many big name aftermarket suppliers? Mich of that should be plug and play.

Nothing is plug and play with anything. They dont even make a aftermarket radio at all for this truck.

Generally speaking, Your options are very limited. Crutchfield offers alot of info on certain models.
When I had my 2017 F150 with Sync3, I struggled with a simple speaker upgrade. Ranger is new on the scene,
Best of luck.

You can certainly replace speakers that way, but the OP is looking to install an amplifier that replaces the stock amp. Without knowing the details of where/how it's wired in and whether anything else is tied to it, that's a tough question. Without an external amp, it's not that hard to wire in an aftermarket model and intercept the stock speaker wiring behind the deck. You can just route the stock speaker outputs from the deck as line level inputs to the amp, then return them post amp to the factory speaker wiring.
