Never heard of this before...

**** that shit hard as hell!

let me put it this way, the job i just got (started monday) has me literally handling millions of dollars per day, and carrying a gun (loaded of course) that is illegal for 95+% of canadians to even hold in their hands (virtually no one in canada gets to carry a gun while it's loaded)

Two things
By the time i got to the last post this thread had REALLY gone down the rabbit hole. LOL
Two
My son started with an armed security company and he recently graduated from a collage police academy with 88 hours of hand gun training and the city we live in dose not recognize his training so he had to take the city 16 hour class and the instructor had my son go over the laws of the state with the class because he was most up to-date on them. go figure:icon_confused:

LOL...that is typical of these threads...

Your son was probably getting some good first hand instruction instructions...nothing like teaching others to make you really learn the material...:icon_thumby:

I didnt even need a resume at the dealer I work at. I just went in after i got laid off from my job, they told me they had a parts management position open, and me being a Ford man, straight out of working for my local CarQuest store, that I would be the perfect candidate. That was a friday, I started the following monday. :D

yeah, virtually NO where up here recognizes anything you took, as the way our laws are written, the employer is responsible for your safety and training, so if they send you away for training, or take your exterior training as satisfactory, and something happens, they are criminally and civilly responsible for it...

the only thing taking outside courses is good for up here is to put on your resume showing you have a base knowledge of it, or as post secondary education for some jobs which require it...

the exception is in the province of BC, where all lawenforcement agencies, including police departments, send you to the JIBC (justice institute of british columbia) where you recieve your 4 month, or what ever it may be, police officer's training, after you finish that, you are in uniform and on the street... they offer some classes to the public, and many more to people who are in the job already, and sent there from their employer. They do the training for police, fire, ems, and a whole lot of other agencies.

the only police forces in BC that i know about that don't go to the JI are the RCMP, which is our federal police force, and they get sent to Regina, which is on the opposite end of the country practically... and the MP's which are all done in quebec

...and they get sent to Regina, which is on the opposite end of the country practically

We sorta like to think of Saskatchewan as more of the middle of the country, tho' REGINA is kind of a purgatory unto itself!

Tee-hee thought you meant Members of Parliament 'til I considered your context

lol, the instructors from my course keep referring to the execs in toronto as being in the "middle east"
