Good news I managed to get a hold of another 84 5.8L HO with 112k miles for free that still has all of its emission components intact my first time seeing that on a truck of that year, just have to tear the truck down for parts and haul the rest in for scrap and the engine is mine, guess good things sometimes do happen to those who wait. Turned it over with a ratchet on the crank bolt , making sure it wasn't locked up after sitting since 99 it turns over, and seems to have decent compression, so far so good, just have to finish tearing the truck down hopefully will have that done tomorrow.
