My son has a 95 ford ranger 4.0. He bought it and the guy who had it put it in a garage and it set for 8 months. My son drove it for about 3 weeks and it started missing and it like choking out. I went replaced the spark plugs and it ran fine for 2 days. Started missing again. Now I am stuck, replaced the fuel pump, filter, new maf sensor, pcv valve, coil pack, wires and plugs. Still doing the same thing. No motor leaks at all when it is not missing the motor is as smooth as can be. But when you start the truck up it starts missing like crazy you can rev the engine up it is fine while holding the gas down then I can let it idle down and it starts this missing and jerking and like spark knocking type thing then finally quits. Also when you are driving and cram the gas it bogs down real bad. Could someone please give me some pointers on what else to look for? My son is in college and would like to not have to put this in the shop if I can help it, just need help to maybe see if there is something you wonderful people might be able to help me out with. Thanks! :dunno:

o2 could cause it to bog at WOT. My plug melted and messed the fuel consumption up where it was starving for some gas
