Need some help scoping out a possible project...

It's a 74 Charger 318/automatic for those who are too lazy to copy and paste
the guy offered me it for my ranger and since i'm driving my dads truck indefinitely, i might try and grab a project.

i've never done body work before and i'm not looking to 100% restore it to prefect condition but something pretty nice for a lower budget.

is it to far gone or what? that blue interior scares me.

That thing looks like it has some serious rust on it. be prepared to replace just about every panel on it. I would say your Ranger is worth more than that Charger.

yea i wouldn't trade your ranger for that, i would offer him 800 at most since the boddy is rusted that bad im sure the frame will be really bad and since he said he drives the crap out of it im sure there is alot more wrong than what he is saying.

Them things are unibody (no frame). Underbody rust would be the biggest concern, I've seen them with the rear springs visible from inside the trunk with the rear of them supported only be the trunk floor, I've also seem them bend in half due to rusting around and below the rear of the door opening. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

very true guys, my truck at most is worth about 1200-1400 so idk what he was thinking if he wants anything close to what it says.

my mom would throw a fit if i got rid of my truck anyways, then we wouldn't have a farm truck.

well it needs a NSS, Possibly a rear end, the front end needs a new pig ( i have it but still) driver side seat is all jacked up and the tires are dry rotted, it's also a little rusty. it looks waaaaaay better in the pic then it is. i put it up on cl and keep getting offers of 700...lol

but hey it's worth more than that to me

IMO Dodge/Plymouth was the king of muscle cars, they had a long list of neat ones.

This Charger wasn't the greatest Charger by any means (IMO) to start with and it needs a ton of work, best to pass...
