i have a 89 b2, 2.9, elec. locks, windows, a/c, cruise, ect.

what alternator do i need? there are 4 or 5 options at the parts store...i know it has the adjustment at 10, and its a 2 plug. im guessing 80 amp?

also, how many o2 sensors on the factory exhaust? im wanting to ditch the 2 factory cats that are clogged for a single cat. is there a before and after cat sensor? help would be appreciated.

You should get the highest amp alternator since you have all the options.

As for your cat situation: There is one sensor in 89. There was only one sensor up to the OBDII trucks. Just get a direct replacement unit. They are far better for many things, including ease of installation.
