thank you

I just asked this in the brake section. Even has the line you need....

I pulled the tank on mine. Only part that made it REALLY frustrating was that I had JUST topped off the tank the evening before it broke, still doable, and much easier to bend it by stuff and secure it.

Use Nicopp line and brass tube nuts when you replace it. It is very easy to work with and has no steel in it so the rusting days are over. Its more expensive but worth it in my opinion. You will need 3/16" tube nuts and some 3/16" to 1/4" tube nut adapters.

I agree with LEDD. Its worth mentioning that although it is heavy a full gas tank is safer than an empty one. Its the vapors that like to go boom. An empty tank holds a lot more vapors.

Just did this last month on my 94 XLT 4x4.
It took two lengths 5ft x 3/16 line.
I never removed the tank, just pulled the old one pout and fed the new one up to the RABS along the frame.
I needed a 7/16 adapter for the back of the RABS.

Alrite sounds like it is much easier taking out the gas tank which mine is full lol. Thank you all vey much

Your profile doesn't mention where you live, but if your straps are pretty rusty it might be a good idea to look into replacing them. Mine broke a few months afterwards.

This line had been replaced on the Rat, On my Wagoneers, I just ran the line on the outside of the frame rail. I used regular 3/16 steel brake line. I dont see The Rat needing another set. :D
