Need HELP!

Good approach, I bet a stuck injector caused the old cat to melt, prompting the owner to cut them out and not address the root cause.

Well, it's been a few. Work and life held me up. I was able to get back at it this weekend. New cats and injectors. But left with more confusion than before. When replacing the big catalytic converter I discovered it had actually been gutted. So why that was having any affect on my situation is beyond me. But it got replaced anyway.
And now, I've got a new issue. System rich both banks, with a slight misfire/stutter issue. And grayish smoke out the tail pipe, it's not white or blue. But it gets worse as the engine warms up. Almost none when cold to fogging out the neighborhood thick once up to operating temps.
There was some oil residual in the intake, noticed when i removed it to change the injectors. PCV rattles when shaken and don't have a code for it, so it hasn't been replaced yet. Guess that and 0² sensors are to be next.
Obviously, I'll take any advice given. But I'm just really updating so that maybe my problems will help it someone else!

Maybe try disconnecting your pcv and plug both ends with a towel. Normally if it were burning oil you would see blue smoke. Grey smoke indicates a rich fuel mixture, which lines up with your codes.

Have you checked your fuel pressure? It’s possible your regulator isn’t working at all.

What kind of injectors did you get?
