Need help with Transfer Case Part #

I recently purchased a 2003 Mazda B4000. It's a really nice truck but the transfer case is bad, I have found a few leads but I need to know if there is a year specific or a certain part # that will only fit. I do know that the Transfer case is a BW1354 and it is electric shift, will any year BW1354 electric shift Transfer Case fit? Any Help would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I know it is that way, but I would try and stick with a 95 and up ranger with it because otherwise it will have a speedometer hole in the t case. Which isn't bad if its plugged...

how do you know the transfer case is bad?

In 2 wheel drive the truck drives excellent. When engaged in 4 wheel drive, the instant I hit the throttle, the transfer kicks out of 4wheel HARD, if I take off slowly or try to turn the wheels the transfer locks right up & the truck comes to a stop on it's own. Also when I had the truck jacked up off the ground and engaged in 4 wheel drive you can hear the gears/chain howling badly. I figure I'll just buy a used transfer locally for around $150-$200 rather then rebuild. The electric motor has been replaced recently just before I bought the truck, I think the mechanic who looked at the truck thought the problem was in the electric motor, I also have a reciept from that mechanic saying the transfer was taken apart and the gears where found to be worn, so that helps!
