hey,
I have an 87 ranger that isn't running well (insanely rich). I have set the timing, checked compression is good. I have run through the codes and I have a MAP out of test range, though it has a new MAP sensor. But what I am most curious to know is how go about the code 41 the HEGO sensor?

Fix the map first. That basically determines everything. Find a Motorcraft one, even used. 1987 map requires baro sensor.

Ok will do. But aside from that is there any other sensor that could cause an an engine to run rich, have next to no power, struggle to recover from a quick rpm drop?

I have tested continuity between each wire from map to the harness at the ECU. However when testing voltage at the MAP unplugged harness I get two 5V measurements and a 0V. I am not sure if this is normal?

ford MAP sensors of that vintage are frequency based, not voltage. Would need a frequency meter to test.

On this ranger map sensor do you know what each pin is for
Thats a @RonD question.

When your ranger does not run, you pray to RonD.
