Need Help and Ideas to prerunn my ranger!!

cheap and prerunner are 2 words that dont go together.... was thinking that at first on my 90..... after looking at how much it cost, I made mine a rat rod... mine had surface rust and body damage.... I dont have much cash at all seeing as I have not had a steady job 2 1/2 years and are unable to work due to some health issues.... start looking at builds and the cost of parts and how much of a budget you have.... a small lift and some bigger tires might be somewhere to start

if you wanna turn it into a prerunner dont start with a small lift and tires like 90longbed cause once you start getting into it that lift will have to be changed cause most lift springs are to stiff for a prerunner and unless you have a big budget or willing to have your truck out for a while while you do parts as you can afford them dont do it cause it is pretty expensive to do it and not have something break cause you took shortcuts

I only said that because he was looking for cheap ideas.....the point we are both making is that building a prerunner is not cheap....I have seen people put $100k into one.... a cheap prerunner build I have seen be $25k easy...I have seen this same question asked on many forums and the answer is always the same......prerunner and cheap are an oxymoron... not saying I am an expert on this, because I am not.... just saying what my findings were when I thinking of going this route

i need cheap ways to prerunn my ranger. need some help..

As all have stated below: No such thing as cheap, Bro. If you just want the look, that is gonna cost as well to make it safe and make it look right. Best thing to do is either buy one already built (which I see a lot for sale) or just enjoy what you got and just fix it up a bit.

Are you wanting a truck that looks like a prerunner or do you want a functional prerunner truck?

A functional prerunner truck of your year is going to hurt just about any budget. A wannabe which is what most "prerunner" trucks are can be done much cheaper.
