So right now i owe 1,200.00 in credit card bills. Never missed a payment! But I also need new tires but have no money since I'm a college student and all I've spent it all in books and classes. One book is more expensive than one mud-terrain tire :annoyed:. There is no price for safety so should i get them even though it will set me $700.00 back? THANKS!

tire shops sell used tires, just use the used tires, many of them have good tread... just expect flats and have a good spare.

Your TOP priority is to pay your lender, servant.

That is what I would do.

you can always ask around at dealerships that still got clunkers with good tires.

There is a price for safety. You are more safe driving on onion-skin may-pops than you are text messaging while you drive on 16/32 tread Goodyears.

Just drive on the may-pops and get used tires. Or sell the truck.

Missions accomplishment. The goal is to get through college. The immediate goal is to get through your current spread of courses. Screw the truck. Ride a bike.

When you conduct a war, you never employ your troops in pieces. You find the best place to attack and then send the lot.

Don't know where Sonora is, but if you see/are preparing for snow and need something with tread look into hi-tech retreads.

New tread tires for seriously on the cheap. Hopefully they make a size you need. They're not the crappy kind that they just glue a chunk of tread on and call it good either.

Screw the truck. Ride a bike.

Where I lived it was a 10 minute drive to just the campus @ 55. Riding a bike would have taken not only a moderately long time, but in winter it would have been impossible. Lots of Lake Effect, strong winds off of fields and being out in the boonies saw to that.

hit up the tire stores and junk yards. My local wrecker has about six or seven exploders and rangers sitting around with at least 3 decent tires on them.

School would be the priority = Graduate, get decent paying job = Buy new M/T.
