i switched cabs last summer and now have issues.i have 2 wires, one grey and white with a very thin black margin-5volts ko;one black with maybe a thin blue stripe-.02volts.they are bundled with the 2 back up wires running down the transmission tunnel about 2 ft then cut off. the hego sensor is hooked up:bawling::icon_confused:

I don't have my '83-'88 manual with me to help me figure this one out, but I do know that a picture of the connector would help us help you.

Oh, and Welcome to The Ranger Station!

for some reason the truck runs great now;goes from open loop to closed without problems . could have been a short,so i guess my question is not urgent ,but im still curious... thanks for the reply :icon_pepsi:

If you can get a picture of the connector, that will help me LOADS with distinguishing what the wires were used for.

there is no connector just the 4 cut off wires ; 2 are for the back-ups,the other 2 are for what?

Might be for the neutral sense. Those would be the only other wires that run really close to the backup switch wiring. Are the ends soldered together?
