Would someone help me identify a small diameter plastic semi-rigid hose that comes from the back of the engine, loops around the EGR valve area and then disappears into the firewall under the wiper motor at the end of a strange looking gray plastic plug?

Looking at the Chilton manual, the cruise control actuator vacuum line and vacuum supply hose are to the right of it but this third line is not labeled.

The line was resting on the EGR supply tube and had melted partially. I put some duct tape on the melted area and secured the line away from the supply tube with a zip tie.

Is this a vacuum hose? What does it do?

Thanks again,

Dan

If I have this right, it comes from the engine manifold and goes to (Dash Panel Passenger Side) the A/C Blower motor feed extension to the Vacuum control valve (in control assembly) to the Outside Recirc Air Door Vacuum Motor.
