OK I havent started yet but heres my rig its an 02 Nissan Xterra thats going to be getting a 3/4 ton SAS here in the next month or too. using a hpd44 and d60 out of a 79 F250.

I suppose I should have gave some details: V6 auto nothing fancy there, DIY snorkel, 33x13.50 ltbs, welded rear end, PML and trimmed fenders(heavily trimmed), ARB bumper thats a been beaten throughouly, and well.... O custom rear bumper and big old school stainless steel whip antenna and cobra cb.

Ok so Im going leaf sprung with a shackle forward setup and using toyota rear springs up front. Im looking for a good cheap bracket for a bushing shackle mount whats everyone using

the ranger station:thefinger:

maybe google the definition of ford ranger pickup truck....
:thefinger:

seriously. factory lil ford shackles/2wd 150 shackles with some 2.75 i.d. box and a drill bit puts it under there for 40-60 bux or so not including hardware....10-15 bux.

Yeah but this is the NON rbv section. The xterra sites just suck to be honest I was banned for a short time for showing guys how to weld there spider gears.

I thought about just using a factory ranger/ explorer shackle but I wasnt sure how long they were.

Im going to start on the rear next weekend mounting the D60 under the truck going spoa should lift it about 5-6" out back with the trim job on it should clear 37s.......SHOULD that it lol. Tossing around some different ideas for a traction bar and how im going to mount the shocks. If I keep them mounted in a stock fashion (similar to chevy truck) it might help axle wrap but it limits wheel travel.

O and side thought my rear leaf springs are a bastard pack and half Ranger anyway so piss off lol.

i was kinda wondering why you posting on this site myself, seems odd. but i've noticed that as long as you are posting lots of pics, we'll watch people build damn near anything. i have a tikki torch build thread somewhere in here. fabbing is fabbing to me.

i dont know much about xterras though, so i wont be much help.

i do agree with your choice to use leaf springs, seems like it'll be easier. BTW post more pics and you'll get more attention

I joined this site awhile back when I used to wheel an 89 ranger and I like the website its more open to different ideas than the Xterra sites and once you start doing axle swaps or any other serious mods what you started with I have found is really irrelevant. Anyway heres some random shots of the Xs progression over the last couple years from nice tow rig to wheeler in reverse.
