it is (or used to be) a 1981 suzuki gs550 with the 31c.i. inline 4 DOHC... im building a bobber out of it, and im wondering if anyone knows about what different types of mufflers and pipes do to the sound, it sounds great at idle, with the mufflers cut off under the foot-peg, but when i rev it it gets really sick sounding IMO... i want it to have the sound like a harley at all rpms, low and rumbly... i was thinking about throwing some 8" glass-packs on it but i dont know... Thanks Guys! much appreciated!

Buy a Harley and call it a day.

Here's an idea, siamese two of the pipes and put a really quiet muffler on it, then put short glasspacks on the other two. That should make it sound like poo, oops I mean a harley.
