finally after 5 months of fixing and getting stuff together my ranger is going to be put on the road:yahoo::headbang: i need to learn to dive stick better but still yay.

i have a question pertaining to the speedo though. when im driving around my friends neighborhood and i hit about 25 my speedo says like 10 or 15 and the needle is at the bottom of the guage.

and also i need bigger and better tires for it(the 205s arent cutting it way too small for a 4x4). im looking for decent all terrains (235-70r15 or 30-9.5r15) that'll pass nj inspection.(have a thread up for that in wanted section)

still need help figuring out how to fix the speedo. the sooner i know the better cause later today i have to rewire the front left speaker:annoyed: and ill have the guages out if i can get them out:annoyed::annoyed:

First thing to figure out is if the diference is constant throughout the range or if it increases/decreases as your speed relative to your speed. If it's a constant 5-10 MPG off you could probably reposition the needle and be fine. If it is let's say 5MPH off at 20 and gradually increases to 15 MPH off at 60, your drive gear is probably wrong or maybe damaged. Of course there's even the possibility of bad cable or speedo, but I certainly hope this isn't your case.

As for tires I recently bought a set of Wild Country XTX Sport for my 99, and they seem good so far. They ran around either 350 or 450 for the set in 31x10.5/15. My total was ~800 for Pacer branded outlaw II wheels and these tires, one was a little over half the cost and I can't remember which. I've only been running them since Christmas, so I couldn't tell you about tread life.

well, this week its definently going on the road. i got a new radio(dual hd radio $80 from pepboys) and put in new front speakers(vr2? 4" 100w 3way $20 from wally world they work good for the price)
but anyways, im getting new tires from a wholesaler my friend knows at almost half price:D
i got power doors going in prolly in a week or 2.

then after that its getting body work then a paint job

im looking for leveling springs or spacers.

:pissedoff:

now my buddys brother is telling me the truck is junk cause of how it looks. says all i got was a good bed and the extra bars package

yes the cab is tweaked a bit but the preveous owner drove it like that for like 8 years. frame not tweaked but the cab mounts are bent a bit(not to breaking or stressing badly). but still, he has the balls to insult my ranger
