This is new to me but I'm sure some of you knew about this for a long time. The JEEP GLADIATOR. Its was shown as a concept in 2005. Looks amazing. Never owned a jeep myself or even thought about till I saw this. http://www.jeep.com/en/autoshow/concept_vehicles/gladiator/

Well just last week its got green lighted or so it seems. http://www.jeepnewsnow.com/modules/news/ and http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/09/sources-say-jeep-pickup-truck-coming-for-2012.html

Would love to see this thing. It will be the best option for a small truck IMO. From what I have read US will not be getting this new ranger/f100 anyways.

Doesn't sound bad.... I wouldn't want to maintain it though!

I saw one at the Harrisburg car show two years ago. It's pretty BA.

It looks like it'd cost a ton to maintain. Those tires are expensive.

4 door diesel long bed.:icon_idea:

The directional tires on the 3d model will never happen.

The spy photos have the Goodyear MTR's like a Rubicon and BFG A/T's, not really all that fancy for tires, I bet it will have similar tires as a comparable Wrangler.

They do look really good, I remember drooling over the concept Gladiator a couple years ago. :icon_thumby:

I would drive that, but I don't like jeep hoods... Something about them just makes me think its way too long when you are sitting in them.

That is a nice looking rig.

Dad's CJ-2A seems to have the hood of a minivan from the cockpit, everything about that bugger is little.

i was hoping the diesel Mahindra from India was going to make it here before 2012. reminds me of the old FJ-55 (iirc) lancruiser pickup. and a diesel/manual is right up my alley!

I would run fast and hard. With no dealers it will be tough to sell them, and if they were that quick to turn on the first set I don't imagine there will be too many standing in line to get kicked in the knees again. $35m is a lot of cash to be put up for a spit in the face, they will be hard pressed to find another sucker to back them. It really makes me question the company's integrety.
