New poly leaf spring bushings came in

Gf helped me lift the bed off

Milo started barking at the strange thing in the driveway so I took him out there so he could see what it was haha

I had to run to Walmart and get a second tarp, I knew as soon as I took the bed off we'd have storms

I've sprayed too much PB Blaster the past couple of weeks to just let it get all rusted again

Always a good decision. Water was so deep on the roads downtown that my front tires were throwing water trails taller than the Jeep lmao sport mode, traction control off

Some slight axle shaft rust

Not surprising, considering....

Cleaned up my garage during the heat of the day since my axle will be living in it for awhile. Almost done when the gf and her mom showed up (six flags tomorrow, taking her mom)

Gf's mom rocks, brought me an appropriately named six pack

Work truck went to the repair shop today so I took a paid vacation day and worked on the POS.
Made some progress but not as much as I would have liked, things keep going wrong.

O'Reilly sold me the wrong size axle shaft seals the first time.
New seals in

Picked up a sweet cart from my co-workers garage sale.... $5

The brake kit shipped missing two bolts and O'Reilly didn't have what I needed. Thankfully a hardware store had the correct grade 8 bolts, even zinc coated and matched perfectly

Brackets on

Cleaned up and painted the axle shaft hubs or whatever the hell it's called

$512 brake kit that took a month before it even shipped and I ran into a second problem with it ?? They sent three small and one large centering ring. I need two of the larger ones.

Still got a little bit of wire wheeling, painting and pinion seal

Just a question on your install. I most people slot the caliper bracket so that it sits behind the axel flange. See the tech link below.

This is a specific built kit from SSBC, it mounts on the outside of the flange. Thanks for looking out tho!

Axle is "done"... going to get a new O-ring for the speed sensor or rear ABS thingy whatever it is that bolts through the top of the pumpkin. Then all that is left is fill it with gear oil

Going to wait on the pinion seal til I regear, since there was 0 evidence of that particular seal leaking.

I'm so tired of wire wheeling rust.... unfortunately it has just begun. Next up are leaf springs, frame, sway bars, front knuckles.....
