well just moved into a new place that i am renting and hope to own in a year or so. hasa nice 3 bay garage and going to start working on a zx2. but now that i am not using my fathers garage and his tools as much...........well i need tools :bawling: just have the basic 1.4 and 3/8 drive set.

i want a jack and jack stands and a decent 1/2 drive set.

best part of this is that i can get greasy and walk the 30 feet to the shower and not drive the 15 miles to a shower:headbang:

3 bays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my dreams!!!!!!!!!!!!

you aint kidding DG. i work in my driveway usually...

every now and then i go here to work on my stuff

hahahahahahahahaha

anyways-- get a good air compressor and air tools man. you're life will NEVER be the same. and then you need a big box, welder, cutting tools, the big box full of tools-- and so on..

i have a shit ton of tools, but only a 1 car garage to work in. i bet we could work out some sort of agreement, lol

I have 2 1/2 bays and tons of tools, a welder, air compressor and air tools and no project. I would rather be in your shoes with a project and no tools.

swing by iowa, i got a garage, tools, and more projects than i want to admit to...but i only have a 1 car i can work in....so waiting for parts kills me, hence the reason im screwing off on the net instead of being productive

That's a BIG plus !!! Congrats on the 3 bay garage-

We start moving tomorrow, and I finally get a garage again! Parking on the street for the last year has been a whole lot of BS....

That's awesome. I only have a carport..... which is better than no carport. But, it isn't a garage!

Congrats

i went without a garage for 9 months i thought i was gonna go crazy. on a related note autozone doesn't appreciate brake jobs in their parking lot.

nope, my manager would always make me tell people to leave when they were out there working. something about "environmental contamination" ....whatever that means. i could've cared less, but it was fun to piss people off sometimes....that may be the only thing i liked about working there. plus, i could find rotors and brake drums out there sometimes that i could add to my scrap metal collection

For the past few years, I've been fantasizing about the dream garage that I WILL have someday. At least 3 bays, a twin post lift, a huge air compressor, huge workbench, huge tool chest, air-conditioned and heated....I feel like a woman fantasizing about her wedding day.

I think it's mostly insurance liability. They can't be held responsible if you screw up your car or get injured by your car on their property. Completely understandable from a business standpoint.

When my tired ass typed this last night, I forgot that I can use my buddies transmission shop with climate control and 3 lifts I can use if I want. It's just nicer to have it right outside.

His shop is where I parked the Stang all winter last year at 68 degrees. It's probably going back this year and sitting next to his Cherokee.
