I'm not a web designer but I'm learning...trying

This is my attempt at being a activist against Speed Humps and Speed Tables.
We have these all over my town, it's aggravating the Damage it causes to most uni bodied vehicles front suspension. Streets labled 25 MPH but you have to slow down to 10 MPH to not bottom out on one of these inverted pot-holes.:thefinger:

am i the only one that speeds up to hit these things?

good. its so fun! especially when there is 3 or 4 in a row

there was a great set of them i used to use to test suspension mods on.they were on the way to work so i went over them every day.

after a couple of months i couldn't even feel them...at 80k

there is a prettygood sized hill with 4 BIG bumps and back in highschool my busdriver would speed up and hit them and get the front of the bus off the ground.

Fawk speedbumps. I speed up to 40 for them, it's smoother.

Speedbumps are put up because too many a$sholes drive recklessly through the area and the police get complaints. Love it when the lowriders scrape the hell out of bottom of their once "trucks". :yahoo:

So what??? Most people are idiots when they drive through a neighborhood doing 40+ in a 25 mph speed zone. I am so tired of seeing this. Most of the idiots who drive aggressively through a neighborhood at 40+ mph will also drive like an idiot anywhere else and run stop signs and traffic lights. If people drove safely through a neighborhood there would be no need for speed bumps. People have a right to protect their families and their pets from idiots who speed through their neighborhoods and I am for that. Respect the law, People and slow down.

So what?
They effect property value.. the same reason I can't work on my project in my own drive way with out getting ticketed.. there's lady down the street in a wheel chair has to go the long way around the block to visit people on the other end of her block when it used to be a roll down the street..
Like I've said in other sights I have a investment in a local tire company and the front end damage has increased allot, good for business but still not right to punish people/communities rather than the particular offenders.. people need to be held accountable for their actions.. as you read for some they are launch pads

The effect on Emergency vehicles and those in side.. like Fire truck tankers and EMS... 500 gallons of water going over a speed hump is not fun at any speed but there are a few streets in my town with 8 in a row... I'm sorry but those guys have enough obstacles as it is.

and The profile of these things are not the same since they are laid by hand...some are smooth and some will knock your teeth out....
So why spend money installing a technologically poor device that presents an additional obstruction and danger to the community?

Oh well... I'm a Leader in Cub Scouts and I have nothing but respect for people protecting children... but this just isn't the answer or the lesson to teach our children..
We need to be responsible for our actions, and hold others responsible for theirs.
