My motor swap

The threads on the block are 3/4" X 16. I posted the part numbers for the kits you're looking for over on RPS. But as V8power said, it's better to have hoses made up with AN style fittings that will never leak. The barbed hose I had leaked after about a year. Got hydraulic hoses there now for 7 years.

cool. well i went and ordered that ford racing one and a holley air cleaner with hardware

and a chrome intake bolt kit. now i need some cool looking valve cover nuts and also a carb stud kit

I still disagree with needing different hoses for the remote kit. The one you posted looks like it should work.

As for a choke I don't see why you wouldn't hook it up. It's super simple.

We don't have -30*F winters down here. That's why no choke is needed. As long as the ignition's electronic and in tune, a choke is unneccesary here. My Ranger starts and idles at 25*F. And by the way the high today here was 70*. The trees are budding out a month early this year.

well ill go ahead and hook it up. it shouldnt hurt anything should it?

now i still need to get some torque convertor nuts, install oil pan gasket, get the right OIL pickup tube installed, drill the 2 holes for the motor mounts, and move my tranny member up (i have a raised one), and hopefully get this thing started.

any help on the torque convertor nuts?

You set the engine in already, knowing you have to change the pan gasket? It would of been so much easier to do before you put it in there.my .02 though.

well i have to pull it rigth back out to finish cleang the firewall and finish yanking out the AC crap. im just trying to get my tranny member in place and my motor mount holes done. then itll be easy to put in and take it out
