My little Iron Ranger {Part 2}

You could get that first gear problem back to the original owner:icon_confused:
SVT

Well, I installed new mirrors on it because if any of you have owned a 89-92 ranger, you know that the swivel style mirrors wear out and don't stay in place when going down the road. These new ones have a bolt and spring in the inside. So all you do is set it to where you want it, tighten up the bolt, and the mirror will stay in place for good!

Next on the list is the cold air intake. I'm gonna use my old tube and the remainder of the old tube from before(leftovers). I'm gonna do 2-45 degree angles for the best chance at a straight shot airflow.

Boy! What a demanding crowd.........................:D:D

Alright, here ya go!

First up is my cannibalized intake tube that I cut, welded, and formed into the new system. Welds aren't the best, but that's what happens when you forget to wash off the cutting fluid......:icon_twisted:

Some fitment and adjustments will be made, but she now has a CAI!

And I put on a spring just to see if it would make a difference, and boy did it ever! Maintaining speed, takeoffs, everything is much easier now thanks to it. My dad was the one who supplied the spring (I think it's for a screen door........:icon_rofl:)

Next is finding a way to hide one of my exhaust dumps. It's very visible and not legal in this state. So I'm either gonna have to cap them off, buy a stubby one, or build a box around it to make it not noticeable.

We'll see which one I go with. :dunno:

Looks great!! Post up a pic of the overall engine bay if you got one...

I also FINALLY got around to putting on my TRS logos. Been waiting a looooooooong time to do so. Also put on a FORD decal my dad bought me last year.

And I got my driving lights installed. Nothing's wired up or hooked up yet until I decide if I want them switch activated, or have my brother wire them into the main lights so they come on when I turn the lights on.

Thank you, sir!

BTW, send Jim a PM with your address and he'll send it right out. I had to do that, since he doesn't have my address on file....

Ahhh, should have known that:icon_idea:

But be careful when you do go to put it on. The individual letters weren't all coming off the right side. Patience and no hurry are what you will need....

I have a nice shop across the road I can use with a smooth floor but I'm so used to working off cardboard my back wouldn't know how to take it.lol!
