My latest Boneyard Find

Duz it matter? Deys both oil puppets.

I would love to have the lift thats in the pic

Oh, the LIFT! Don't know what I was thinking! Pretty easy to tell the truck is stock.

Yeah, that was there when I bought the house. It's rated for about 2 1/2 tons, but I don't know if it would do that much anymore. It's enough for the Ranger. Pretty darn handy.

An old Army buddy of mine built the shop years ago and I recognized it when I was house hunting a couple years back. I'd have bought the house anyway, but the shop was a factor. I had been rolling around in a gravel driveway for 16 years before that and was happy just to have a concrete driveway. The shop was a serious bonus!

Aren't we all? Gotta have oil, and I can't get it out of the ground myself. Beats the heck out of solar and the "green energy" kick. Personally, if the government is going to subsidize something, I'd rather subsidize something that works. As a general rule we should subsidize what we want more of and tax what we want less of.

How's that line up with current policies...?

Watch out, them's heresy words...Fedzilla's PC and conformity police may come knockin' at your door...can't let the people start believin that they actually own/control the gubmint again, now can we? The future is here...welcome to third-world Omerica.

i can easily spend most of the day in a junkyard, once in a while i'll come across a car i once knew, found my moms old comet (same as a maverick) years ago, its hard to not bring home more than i need, im always seeing something that i know i could put to good use.....and occasionally i find something that would make a great restoration project. dont have room/time or money for that, but hate to see some things rust away...

Qc is my home away from home, im on a first name basis with them, I probably even have a credit line there, lol

Last time I went I scored a set of GT40 heads for 45 a piece

They're called junkyards, but they're more like Wal-mart for guys. Anytime I go I end up getting more than what I went for. Gotta get to the Nashville Pick-a-Part. I hear it's awesome.

No you don't not taking MY parts! LOL It's about the only place I can afford to get parts.

Edit: Just checked out Pick-A-Part. Looks like they ripped there price list from Pull-A-Part. I now have 3 places to look for parts.

So far no wiggle, vibration, rattling, etc. I can sit on the brush guard without moving it, and I'm way closer to 300 lbs than i should be. I think it'll be ok :icon_welder:

Not til it comes off DD duty at least. Even then idk if I could justify the expense. All the cool hobbies cost so much!

One trip to turkey bay will change that, lol. Thats why you collect parts as you go/can. Go to your favorite boneyard and start collecting. They'll have all the hard parts you need.
