My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.

Wow! This truck is shaping up nice! When I saw the picture of the intake, I knew this was going to be a build worth watching.

Thank you Sir! I work on it a lot... Girlfriend hates all the time I spend with it.. but keeps me out of trouble!

kinda curious where you ordered the gauge plate

Ebay. just search for Ranger white face guage kit. The kit I have is from L3 Racing. It cost 19.99 + 7.99 for shipping. There is also a kit for non tach apps.

Heading out to the shop. It is fairly nice out so Gonna do some painting today!

I have access to a booth but didn't use it on the door. I have found that if you clean and tack the panel to be painted and wear clean clothes to paint in with good filtered air you should be able to get a great paint job...a booth isn't needed just nice to have...

what kinda paint are you using. single stage, base clear? and what brands and type of paint if you dont mind me asking

i use deltron based urethane or dbu for short. and transtar clear.

but for single stage i use the good ol'e trusty nason urethane.

I am using PPG Global base coat and Rubber Seal clearcoat. I sparayed a lot of DBU years ago.. I'm not a big fan of it... I liked DBC better... The clear I am using is as good as any PPG and way cheaper... For single stage I use DCC. Not sure if I mentioned it but I was a certified PPG refinisher.. Gave up the body shop business 10 years ago... Still do some side stuff here and there though.

so far the build looks awesome. very nice!

with this kind of small details this early in the build this is going to be a beutiful truck if you could find a hood scoop from a 79-82 fox body mustang that would look awesome on this truck and lookin good and keep up the great work
