My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.

Yep.. I believe I can...

Eventually I stripped all the parts and wires from her.. Wanted to take the cab off the frame but didn't have enough help or anything to set it on so it stayed on...

One other thing that I did was bought zip lock bags and put all the bolts, clips, etc in bags and labled with a marker so when it is time to go back together I will know where every thing is. A friend who works for Dodge gave me a ton of parts bags to use as well. if something was missing I wrote - the amount missing so as not to waste time looking for it...

I like the steady progress with this build.

lookin good so far! The intake looks great, I've got an extra one that I want to do the same thing to, but I just know its going to be a ton of work!

Thanks ZMan! If it weren't for all the pits it would be easy for the most part. If they arent all sanded down little black dots show up.. The best advice I can give is sand it... Then when you think you are done sand three times more...

Quit taking your picture in a mirror and calling it paint!:D

Good work so far, might have to come see you when I get something ready for paint & body work.

Thanks Josh! Let me know! I can always use some side work... If the weather is half decent I am hoping to paint most of it this weekend... Got it all ready to paint except the bed and tail gate...

White faces came in.. Got them installed.. Used the 12V connection on a computer to test. They are too bright for my taste so I am going to tint the clear cover and black it out. If my idea works the dash lights will have to be on to see the gages..

Painted the frame.. Going to shoot for the Engine bay next... This little Ranger has a very sloid frame and floor pan. I assume with all the fluids that leaked it kept the frame rust free.. All kidding aside the floor pan was almost spotless. I used Genuine Joe brand Degreaser to clean the crud off the frame. I highly recommend... Worked like a champ. Even cleaned the splash shields with it and they now look brand new. Ordered another gallon today just to have plenty on hand on hand...

Front view... One thing I am trying to do is give the parts a sort of depth. for instance With the valve covers I went with gold then painted the things to help with sealing silver and the valve cover bolts black.. The water pump Silver and the bolts black ect... I like to call it budget detailing...

Wow! This truck is shaping up nice! When I saw the picture of the intake, I knew this was going to be a build worth watching.
