Thanks Mike! All the ideas from everyone for the Unleaded Fuel Only decal are good but there has to be something more cleaver out there... But too it isn't like it will really be seen unless the fuel door is open...

That's just one of those things that make a truck, you know? No one's ever going to see your intake that you spent a ton of time on unless the hood's open. You'll get something clever in there!

You're putting urethane base/clear over top of lacquer primer? Thats not a good idea. Lacquer doesn't cure nearly as hard as urethane does, therefor its still able to "move" underneath of your hardened urethane, and it will create problems down the road.

i let the laquer cure overnight. then i sand it so its just thin enough to cover the body work.

me and my dad have been doing it like this for 20+ years. never had a problem.

Thanks ZMan! Nope it's cracked pretty bad. I have another one in a donor truck so I didn't see a reason to mask it off...

A ranger that you can lift the hood like a vette....that would be nice. Did the shelby cobras have a hood that flipped forward?

That would be cool... When I bought my first Ranger in 90 people were diamond tilting the hood by cutting the back left corner of the hood then welding it to the cowl and fender then putting the hinge in the corner ... I thought that was cool.. The Cobras did have a hood that flipped forward... I looked into doing that but looked like there was alot to doing it..
