...8:15pm... Popped the tree dents out with an air bag last year, looked decent! check out the inside after I pulled the boxliner...

I figured if I was gonna do it, now would be the time? And a triangulated 3 link, not a 4... my bad.
 
After reading thru each page that thing looks KILLER!
 
I like the idea of the triangulated 3 link.....but once ya do that you will be tempted to bob the rear of the frame for a better departure angle.....negating the location of the BII tank......

at least that is my way of thinking:D:icon_twisted:

I still need the bed for hauling a quad, and camping gear etc. With the 42's and 2" B/L and prerunner bedsides I'll be dragging the frame out back.... and I'm ok with that, lol.
 
I like the idea of still having it usable as a truck, while having 42's.... not that many people can pull that off.
 
Triangulated 3 link would be the icing on the cake
 
Dang man, you do the 3 link and your truck will be almost exactly what I'm planning to do to mine... I suppose on the bright side, you'll have all the kinks worked out so I know what to avoid. :icon_thumby:

interesting design outcomes from that...i would need some airsprings for something like that....i have thought about it...but...bah......
 
I would do a triangulated 4 link. More joints to distribute load. Two force members are good too. (single links are only loaded in tension/compression - unless they're lowers and you used them as sliders)

I've thought about linking as well, not seriously yet, but pondered. It's got its advantages, but as long as I keep my tank behind the axle (keeping me from bobbing the bed) I see no reason to switch out the leaves.

Get it running and wheel it, then link it if you want.
 
hmm.... K.I.S.S. has worked so far.....

Think I'll probably run something like this and call it good with the 63's.

Went to go get it's rear frame rails sandblasted at my work today.... Dodge is sitting a lil low as it still has it's winter weight in and the rangers overly light in the back at the moment.
