My Build, All Parts And Prices ***2016 Updated*** still not done...

Where you getting ur glass from?

BC super trucks, they sell McNeil Glass. I was quoted $475+$100 shipping...

Called McNeil direct and they said use BCST, lol. Their quote was $400US + $414 Shipping! :icon_surprised::icon_surprised::icon_surprised:

Got bored and started playing around with the belt routing.... Looks like the factory 6.0L P/S pump just traded places with the belt tensioner!

And I now have some rear brakes so I can get working on the rear truss and mounts.

Some steering Bling from NWF

Arms installed and the intended setup, going with a longer flatter pitman arm to make angle match and tierod with evo assist setup will go below the arm to give me room for uptravel.

And the start of work on the rear housing.... Gotta make it mobile so the EXO ranger can get in the shop before we get 'real' snow here.

Got it rollin, my old mans happy that his project is inside before it snow'd too much.

Rear housing done... needs a few more pieces but its under it.

looks fantastic brother. Seriously. Perfect stance, still easily can tell its a Ranger, and it has the probably one of better setups as far as power/drive train goes. Great job Andrew!

When do you think you will have it running and driving?

I'm not even gonna guess anymore..... Every time I do I'm wrong, lol.

Things to do:

Radiator, belt routing (idler/pump mount fab), headers/exhaust, fuel tank and lines.

Send out gears for exchange, order rear axle shafts, order inner axle seals, build steering/assist

Build tube bed, hang fiberglass, build sliders, buld bumpers, build exo....

awesome....

cant say enough how much i like it.

if you bias the bed toward actual usability that would really push it over the edge for me.

mine is setup to be configurable to haul 4 dirtbikes if needed.

never finished the boxes...but even with the big tool boxes i think i can hang skins and fit 3 bikes.

I plan on making it a full 4' between the wheel wells if I can, and I'll have the space in front of them built into compartments for spare parts. I dunno about 4 dirtbikes, but 3 or a fullsize 4wd quad should be no problem. I'll be running a BII tank so I may have a hump in the floor at the back to keep it outta reach from rocks underneith but that shouldn't be a problem. It'll be a skeleton of 2"x.120" DOM and skinned with aluminum (free from the inside of the vanbodies at work!) so it should be light.

Rear shocks are gonna be outboarded, most likely mounting near the tops of the bedsides as part of the wheel well.

What did you do as far as axle shafts for the front? What are you doing for the rear? I am very interested in these spider9 housings... That is why i ask so many damn questions. lol

I built the front axle to use stock Chev D60 shafts, and the rear I just need to measure and get 35 spline shafts with 14bolt flanges... lotsa suppliers to choose from. I'd get a housing from Dan @ RuffStuff, not only are they bigger/better they are a vendor!

My Spidertrax housings, though old and from when they were a fairly new company were not true. When spun in the lathe they were more then 3/8" outta round!!!!!

I would only go with Dan's kit if i were to go that route. Now, how can you run stock D60 shafts with a 9" center?

Yup, as I've got 35 spline stuff so stock D60 shafts work. I did however have to open up the short side of the detroit a bit... but that was 5 min in the lathe.

Pic whoring time, there was sunshine!
