My Bronco 2

well the b2's back on the same tires.. didn't get the xj done in time to get the jk pulled in and unlifted. gonna be a couple weeks... if it don't happen, it don't happen.

i don't really have the money for them now anyways. was just getting them b/c of the deal. was just gonna let my credit card balance roll over a month so i'm not dead broke! i'm still on my year of no interest anyways. lol.

also found out tonight, i'm missing a caliper "bolt" (its not really a bolt, more of a pin). that explains the sound when i press the brakes..

Sounds like stuff in my life sometimes. Things seem like they are going too smooth and they are and shit falls through.

yeah, that's exactly how it went.. i might get the tires/might not. it'll be a couple weeks if i do.

i worked on my 8.8 some more today. getting somewhere now...

also spent some time on my new sub box. dustin, get ready to slap me if you want. but i sprayed the sub box w/ duplicolor bed armor (hate this stuf, turns out nice when dry.. but spraying it is annoying.. the cheap walmart rattle can of bedliner is better IMO). installed the speaker terminal and then the sub. decided to not mount the amps to the box at this time, if need to later i will... but for now they are on the floor under my box. it looks great. i love having some usable cargo area. here's some pics-- taken in the middle of the process. afterwards i put the seats back up and starting moving stuff back to the cargo area.

I hated those things. Glad I don't have to mess with them anymore. Twin piston FTW!

Yes the standard D35 calipers are the same as the D28, but I have the 96+ twin piston calipers and they use actual bolts to hold them on.

96-97 Rangers with the 4.0 got twin piston calipers on the D35:D:D:D

earlier ones are just single piston.....

so its an easy upgrade to dual piston calipers.. is it the same pads? if not, i'll do it later. i already have new pads. was planning on using my d28 calipers b/c i know they work, and i'm not sure about the d35 ones. i have new rotors and pads tho.

I think you need the whole knuckle.

gotta say, i love this set up

And one kicker dual voice coil 10" sub in a b2 with 750 watts pushing it, is plenty of bass.

i think it was '95 they got them, and id guess it was all off the d35s because my '95 3.0 has dual piston calipers aswell. my '94 4.0L had the old style single piston, so id guess it had to be '95

Every single ranger, including 2wds, got twin pistons up front in those years. And ya, you'll need the whole knuckle to upgrade brakes.
