my B2

amazing build!

Thanks!

im 16 and just bought my first truck its a 84' ford ranger, with im pretty sure the same 2.8l as your bronco. anyways i noticed in your engine compartment all the eev IV computer shit, and all the wires for the sensors are gone. can i take all that out and it'll still run ok? i was wondering how you did it?

thanx

Look up the Duraspark II conversion in the technical library. If you have any questions after reading that, just shoot me a PM and I'll explain anything you dont understand to you. :icon_thumby:

Did you build your own hi steer arms? if so how far into the knuckle did you tap. I'm interested in doing this as well to a ball joint dana 60

yes i built my own. I drilled and tapped all the way through.

Just curious...what's this rig measure lift-wise over stock??? It looks pretty low and I've got plans for a similar build with a tretched wheelbase, but I wanna keep the roof, windows and re-tub the rear fenders so my daughter can keep warm in the Winter.

In the field, on leave, work, and building my tow rig.

Got a wild hair up my ass and decided to 5.0 and C5 the B2. Motor is from a 98 Exploder, that means it has the GT40P cobra heads, and the cobra intake. Going to put headers on it and a new cam. C5 is getting a full manual reversed valve body with 1st gear engine brake, Art carr gated shifter, bigger pan and new TC. Plan to have this built started pretty soon.

ive always loved your rig anyways, gonna be alot better after the swap. how much u have to give for that c5? i come close to getting one when i did the trans swap, but couldnt find a converter

btw i would get the upgraded servo's while u are at it from patc, performance auto, tci etc. u will be glad u did. btw i wish my wallet would let me get the same kinda wild hairs u get. my wild hairs are kinda painful...aka something breaks

I paid $200 for the trans, has a 90 day warranty, guaranteed bench test.

All the parts I bought for it are 70+ C4. Forgot to mention that I got upgraded servo as well, from patc actually. Broader performance for the valve body and jegs for the TC. 1600rpm stall.

scraped the idea of running OBD2. Purchased an A9L ECU, harness and distributor from a 5.0 GT. changed to a 2200rpm stall converter, H code servo.

Only parts I still need is a new oil pan/pickup and shifter, which I will buy on my next paycheck.

My helper, Adam

Had to air tires down to get enough clearance.

ya im selling the motor and trans.

I dont know why, but I've had the worst luck ordering parts for all of this. Shipping has been taking forever on critical parts, back-ordered parts, ect.

Here is what I have collected so far -

Still waiting on trans rebuild kit, Art-Carr RockGate shifter, Comp Cams camshaft/lifter set, throttle body spacer, intake spacer, hardened C4 input shaft, servo high-pressure seal kit, engine gasket set, and $130 worth of Amsoil to lube up all this junk.

Luckily, I have tracking numbers on all of it, and it looks like I will be getting everything this week. I plan to drop the trans off at the rebuilder on thursday or friday, and get the 5.0 built, and in over the weekend.:icon_bounceblue:

Lookin' good, waitin' to see it on the trails

On another note, how is having a 6cyl with 42's? As long as you have low gearing is it pretty manageable?

its manageable. I hated the carb more than I hated my lack of power.
